The House System at Dominion Academy
At Dominion Academy, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. While students are grouped by grade levels for academic learning, we also foster a strong sense of community and mentorship through our House System.
Each student is assigned to one of four Houses, where they will remain for the entirety of their time at our school. This structure encourages multi-age interactions, teamwork, leadership, and a sense of belonging
The Purpose of the House System
✔️ Encourages mentorship – Older students guide and support younger students
✔️ Builds school spirit – A sense of identity and pride within each House
✔️ Develops leadership skills – Students take on roles to organize and lead events
✔️ Fosters teamwork – Students collaborate to achieve common goals
✔️ Reinforces virtues – Monthly House events align with our school’s core values
House Gatherings & Events
Once a month, students will participate in a House event, where they work together on activities that reflect our monthly virtues. These events may include:
🎯 Team challenges and competitions
📖 Academic and faith-based discussions
🛠 Community service projects
🎭 Creative and artistic showcases
